In preparation for the big climb
Dont have much faith in Kenyan airways and wouldn't recommend but they got us here. Very very hot at the moment so headed straight for the bar for a cold beer and then went for a sleep. Sitting by the pool trying to upload photos without much success. May have to use Facebook for pictures. Going to head into town tomorrow and just chill in readiness for Monday and 6 days of exercise and it's all up hill.

A good luck letter from a dear friend
Hi Nat, I tried to post directly on to your link but it did nt save but I will persist when I have a bit more time.
I just wanted to say that honey! I am so INTERESTED! You don't know what an inspiration you were to me in Israel! We were the first to leave the kibbutz to go to J'lem and you made me hitch hike! You took the mick out of me so much and so , I had to take myself less seriously. On our first trip as a group I remember you swimming with all the boys and you made me think that I have to be braver..... Maybe in only a small way at that point but I have been braver and you, hon, helped me be so. I am so jealous of your trip but when you falter think of me pushing you up a bit more, as you did fro me. It will be a honour and a pleasure to see how you do but if anyone can get to the top pf Kilimanjaro, girl, you will.
23 years is not about the possessions we have, but the memories we have and I know that you must have some amazing ones. I am always telling Paul that I won't be on my death bed wishing I had the latest washing machine but thinking about the things I have done and the people I have met. Trust me Nat, you will be there!

Emptying my desk
Yesterday at work I starting to gather my belongings and bin most of it, not much to show for 23 years in a job. Spare bedroom is littered with hiking kit in preperation for my Kilimanjaro hike, fly out next Friday 20th and hopefully will be on the summit on my 49th birthday.

Singapore
Hi everyone
Singapore has been great and we have been in the infinity pool on the 57th floor, that was a little scary at first.
Went on the Singapore Flyer and view Singapore from height again but from a different angle. Something that was out of this world and a very strange expereince indeed, was that of the "Doctor Fish', you know the ones that eat all the dead skin of your body. We were only brave enough to put our feet in!!
Spent an evening at the Night Safari with its very own Halloween expereince thrown in as well, not to scary for us western's.
The afternoon tea at Raffles Hotel was out of this world and yet another cultural event for us, I know you are all surprise about the cultural bits we have done.
Unfortunately, you may have heard on the news about the fog in Singapore and that has ruined the time in Singapore alittle, due to lack of blue sky's and sun.
Also lost our life savings at the casino last night but it was a fun journey!!
Our credit cards have now finally blown up and can take no more, so have to come home.

Christchurch Again
Hi
Our last day in NZ before we fly to SINGAPORE, woke up this morning bruised and battered from our extreme Go Ape experience yesterday.
Had parts of our body aching that should not ache!!! So we thought we would do it all again and go up the Gondola to the top of a mountain one way and walk back down again. We walked for over 2 hrs along the crater rim walk from the top to the bottom. Unfortunately, our muscles still ached after that.
Have managed to get everything into our rucksacks for the flight tomorrow and that involved a lot of pushing and jumping up and down on the bags.
