Chaos at the Airport

So the day had finally arrived and I met Gwen at Heathrow Airport Terminal 5. Tim her husband had driven her to the airport but me I got a lift to Portsmouth where I got the National Express coach to the airport which was actually very relaxing journey.
We were flying with Jet Airways to New Delhi where we took another flight to Udaipur, but due to a delay and landing late and the immigration queue being massive we were pulled out. So we jumped the queue at passport control had to then find our luggage and taken to the head of the line again. Once in the main terminal building and two more security checks we had to run to the other side of the airport to our gate. Once there we found out that our flight was delayed and no rush was needed, so we were both well pissed at this as Gwen was suffering with her breathing due to being asthmatic.
We had an hours flight to calm down before we hit the mayhem of the real India. Forward planning in organising a taxi to be waiting for us to take us right to our hotel. We just had to endure our driver trying to sell us trips and wanting to be our personal driver during our stay.
The Rang Niwas Palace Hotel is a very old hotel that a former prince lived in so had lots of history and I think the only modern addition was the swimming pool. The location was very central and just minutes from the City Palace but it was on a really busy junction so was quite hard walking anywhere.
We had separate rooms with air conditioning but to be honest didn't really use it, after unpacking we jumped into the freezing cold pool. As we arrived at the hotel around lunch time we just chilled and went for a walk early evening to get our bearings, we soon realised that this hotel was in a great location and couldn't fault it.

The hotel arranged a tuktuk for the next day to take us to the shelter which was 450 rupees return trip so we booked him everyday for 3 weeks to take us there. After a long walk and some food we hit the sack about 9pm as I knew that the hectic day we had just had would catch up with me.
