Well we have finally booked our flights to Tokyo on October 27th for one month. Haven't really finalised our itinerary as we like the adhoc approach to travel. We have brought a JR Pass for 21 days which will allow us to travel on the rail network all over Japan. This pass is only available to foreign travellers and is a fraction off the cost to what the train journeys would cost within Japan.
We are booked into Khaosan Tokyo Ninja Hotel for our first three nights in Japan, it's a hostel come hotel and we have a private room with shared bathroom and kitchen.
After Tokyo we are heading for Mount Fuji for one night but if it's nice there we could stay another night.
