Day 3 Camper Journey

Hello Kiwi

Camped at Rotorua the Maori Central of NZ in a fantastic camp with hot thermal springs that we relaxed in before dinner, of packet pasta!!!!  Still working on the kitchen front from a camper but we will get there by the end of the month.
We woke early to explore Rotorua and the thermal pools of hot water, mud and geysers that shoot upto 30 feet in the air every 30mins or so.  Now in McDonalds for the internet what can you say, you can always rely on the service of McDonalds at least in whatever country you are in.  It is raining here but at least that allows our sunburn to calm down from the first few days of fantastic sunny weather.

Day two of the journey

Hello to you all

Day two in the camper we headed of early to Tauranga to have a walk around and then ended up climbing Mount Maunganui for the rest of the morning, with amazing views once we reached the top with a little or maybe a lot of effort.  So many steps along the way and so many people running it just for fun and exercise!!!!
Headed down too Rotorua the Maori cultural centre of NZ and surrounded by five amazing lakes.  Have set up camp here and walked the Okere waterfalls and prior this had some fun around the Kiwi centre with its 360 degree kiwi and everything else you can think of from a Kiwi!!!

Camper Adventure

Hi Everyone
Our camper journey and adventure has started with the pick up of the camper and the journey back to our hotel to load up our kit.
We travelled to a famous and recommended NZ fish and chip shop in Kaiaua and then travelled onto Miranda for the hot natural spring swimming pool,, where we relaxed in the hot spring waters and swam just a little.
Moving onto the Whahi Gold Mines and walked around the history and lovely ground of the old mines and Natalie became a little sea sick with the wobbly bridges we had to cross.  We moved onto a place called Te Puna to set up our first camp in the camper.  All went well however lacking a little storage space with all the new T Shirts Natalie is buying along the way.  Very tired and we both slept 12 hrs I think the jet lag caught up with us after 4 days on the go since arriving.

Bloody Blog

Hi everyone (I apologise for the language!!)
After trying 20 different coffee shops and having a caffine overload to try and gain access to the internet for our blog posts, we managed it!!!!
Just waiting to pick the camper van up for the next part of our trip and adventures along the way.
Our two challenges in Auckland were great and here are the photos of the bridge walk, unfortunately none of the sky walk are available yet.  But we did do it, ever Natalie of one too many beers and her fear of highs at 192 metres without a hand rail to hold onto on the way round!!!Lol

The journey

Hi everyone
26hrs, two planes and the whole weekend gone to finally arrive in New Zealand.  Auckland was warm and sunny for our first day and our first two challenges in the adventure captial of the world.  The Auckland Bridge walk and Sky Tower walk, (Natalie was alcohol breath tested first) before they would let her walk it.  Only one beer prior I promise for lunch!!!!!However I think Natalie would have preferred being refused as the nerves kicked in and she went white and very unstable!!!  More to come keep on following the posts.
